Borders LaGrange: June 7th

What a fun show at Borders!  Thanks to all who came out:  family, friends, those of you who keep coming back, those I haven't met before and even my cello teacher from when I was a kid.  No, I don't play anymore, but it's not her fault.  I just like frets!

Also, thanks to an amazingly energetic under five crowd for their amazing dancing skills.  From the beuatiful ballerina on Far, Far Away to the moshers on One Friend Named Kenny, they added so much.

Peace and Music,

 Kristin

Summer Music

Whee!  It' spring, but it feels like summer.  We've been enjoying some nice weather here in Chicago after a pretty rough winter!

I'm working on a new CD.  I laid down a whole bunch of scratch tracks a couple of weeks ago.  It felt great to be back in the studio.  Check out the youtube of "It Won't Be Too Late," which came out of that session.  It's at http://youtube.com/watch?v=ynE3kMCtvDw.  It's my response to this crazy 2008 election so far!

Check back for more updates.

Peace,

Kristin

 Take care and peace,

Recording Ideas!

We're itching to get back in the studio, so, if you've been coming to our live shows, let us know what you want to hear. If you're not sure of the title of a song, feel free to write, "The one that blah, blah, blah..." That's how we refer to them too.

Happy 4th. Keep the hope for peace and justice alive!

Whoah!  What an awesome time we had rocking out at the Steel Bridge III Songfest.  We really hope they don't tear that bridge down.  It was organized by Pat MacDonald who had the hit eighties song, "The Future's so Bright I Have to Wear Shades."  It also starred Jackson Browne and Jane Wiedland of the Gogo's.

Our segment of the show at Poh's Tavern was hosted by Tony Brown.  I asked him how long we should play for, and he said, "How long do you want to play?"  I said, "We wrote up a 45 minute set."  He said, "If you have the shoes, then you should dance."  So, after thinking about that metaphor for a good fifteen seconds, we did. Thanks, Tony!  Thanks also to Erich Herbst, who played a great set as well.

And thanks again to everybody who was there at Poh's, especially to whomever wrote "What About Rosalind" in the men's room.  If you took pictures, send them!  An extra special thanks to Barbro, Dave, Jesus, and Jonathan for all their help at the gig and to Bill and Carol for putting us up for the weekend.  Thanks also to Super Puppy Mijo --just for being you!

Peace,

Kristin

Our first few gigs under the name What About Rosalind have been a lot of fun. We had a great time at Hotti Biscotti for Rebecca Sometimes's Rock and Roll Birthday Show, at Borders LaGrange, and at Hotti Biscotti. We are heading up north to Door County, Wisconsin for the Steel Bridge Songfest III in Sturgeon Bay. Jackson Browne and Jane Wiedlin will be headlining. We're really looking forward to it.

Keep checking back for more gig dates. Keep in touch!
